Plasters

Weberwall Premium Plaster

Weberwall Premium Plaster is premixed plaster designed to provide smooth and compact surfaces both internal and external. weberwall premium plaster is a blend of portland cement, supplementary cementitious material, selected graded sand and polymer additives in the right proportion for perfect compactness and desired smoothness of the surface. RMP is silt free and organic content free, graded sand provides best quality durable masonry surfaces with negligible cracks.

Gyproc Xpert+

Gyproc Xpert+ is a stucco gypsum plaster made for application on almost all backgrounds, e.g. brickwork, block work or concrete, suitable for application like POP punning (over Sand & Cement Plaster), bull marks, level strips, etc. It has special additives for enhanced setting time helps in controlling the onsite wastages. It provides perfectly lined and leveled surface providing a perfectly flat surface ready for painting.

Gyproc Elite MR

Elite MR (Moisture Resistance) is a one coat gypsum plaster specifically designed to provide protection in wet areas like bathroom, kitchens, basement, garages, balconies, parking podium etc. It provides extra protection with low absorption of moisture in air or from surface giving excellent results in skirting area application with problems arising out of capillary action and efflorescence. It can be directly used over backgrounds like bricks, blocks and RCC and provides a smooth inert, high quality surface to internal walls and ceilings and a durable base for application of decorative finishes.

Weberwall Finecoat

Weberwall Finecoat is a perfect blend of white cement, special polymers and minerals which protects & smoothens walls and is especially suitable for all types of cementitious surfaces like concrete, rendered wall, blocks and panels, precast walls & ceilings and plastered surfaces. Being pure dazzling white in colour, any shade of
paint comes alive on it and starts reflecting its true tone. weberwall finecoat is pre coat applied with ease before painting of the wall which fills fine pores of the surface providing a seamless silky smooth surface.

Gyproc Bond-it

Gyproc BOND-it ‘Bonding Agent” – a unique product that serves as an excellent bond on the RCC background and the internal gypsum based or any other plaster based wall lining. Its unique formula of Polymer, selected sand fillers, additives & polymers makes it coarse and improves its bonding properties. There is no need to physically develop the surface by hacking or any other methods. The Bonding Agent is specially formulated as a plaster bonding agent for pre–treatment of smooth backgrounds. It contains an aggregate to provide a mechanical key.

Plasters are building materials used for the protective or decorative coating of walls and ceilings and for moulding and casting decorative elements. The term “plaster” usually means a material used for the interiors of buildings, while “render” commonly refers to external applications. The term stucco refers to plasterwork that is worked in some way to produce relief decoration, rather than flat surfaces. The most common types of plaster mainly contain either cement, gypsum, or lime, but all work in a similar way. Plaster is manufactured as a dry powder and is mixed with water to form a stiff, but workable paste immediately before it is applied to the surface. The reaction with water liberates heat through crystallization and the hydrated plaster then hardens.

Cement plaster is a mixture of suitable plaster, sand, portland cement and water which is normally applied to masonry interiors and exteriors to achieve a smooth surface. Interior surfaces sometimes receive a final layer of gypsum plaster.Gypsum plaster, also known as Plaster of Paris, is a white powder consisting of calcium sulphate hemihydrate. It is produced by heating gypsum to about 120–180 °C (248–356 °F) in a kiln. When the dry plaster powder is mixed with water, it rehydrates over time into gypsum. The setting of plaster slurry starts about 10 minutes after mixing and is complete in about 45 minutes. The setting of Plaster of Paris is accompanied by a slight expansion of volume.

Advantages of Gypsum plaster: Gypsum plaster is completely free from shrinkage cracks due to is self-setting properties. Gypsum plaster does not require any water curing. Gypsum Plaster with adequate initial and final setting time improves workability and provides a ready paintable surface within 3-4 days, which saves about 20 days of construction time. Gypsum plaster thus gives freedom from water curing process, saving cost of water and labour. Gypsum plaster is 50% lighter in weight (density of approximately 700Kg/m3) in comparison to traditional sand-cement plaster (density of 1860 kg/m3) and thereby decreases the load on the building. Though it is light weight, it still conforms to standards of the compressive strength required for Internal plastering. Gypsum plaster comes in ready to use bags, and only requires the addition of clean water in the prescribed proportion for plastering. The need for river sand, which is banned in many parts, is eliminated. Gypsum plasters have low thermal conductivity (0.25 W/m-K) as compared to Sand Cement Plaster (0.72 W/m-K). Lower the thermal conductivity of material, higher the insulating properties. Lower thermal conductivity helps in keeping house cool in summer and warm during winter which in turn save energy cost.
